In 2002 Serack Consulting Inc. was incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act. It helps companies ranging from startups, through established midsize companies to multinationals.
Dr. James (Jim) Serack has over 30 years of diverse leadership, engineering, and business experience in large multinationals.
Most recently he provided stewardship within the Application Modernization Offerings of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a global information technology and services company, where he worked since 2003 in other roles such as: the Director of Americas Architecture and Innovation, acting Vice President of Global Solutions and Technology, a Solution Executive in business development, and as a major healthcare provider accounts Chief Technology Officer. Prior to working at CSC, Jim enjoyed a long career at Nortel Networks and its former R&D subsidiary Bell Northern Research where he first worked as an integrated circuit designer before rising steadily through R&D management positions, technical and commercial positions in Supply Management, to finally the Vice President of Information Services (CIO) for the R&D divisions. During that time Jim lead groups ranging in size from 20 to over 1200 people located in countries throughout the world.
Dr. Serack has a Bachelor in Engineering Physics (1983) from the University of Saskatchewan and PhD in Electrical Engineering (1988) from Edinburgh University, Scotland, and has completed several Executive Education (1999, 2000) marketing modules at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has presented keynote lectures at the University of Saskatchewan and numerous papers at Information Technology industry conferences, is an active contributor to opensource projects, and has received patents in the field of microelectronics.
